Garrettsville Native Shares Research into Garrettsville Train Robbery
A woman named Julie Thompson has done extensive research into the train robbery comitted by Alvin,and is presenting her findings at a high school,hosted by the Ohio Historical Society.She has the belief that the high school (James R.Garfield) was named after Alvin's train robbery,but she has yet to find evidence to support her theory.
She stated that she is thinking of turning her research into a book,and maybe getting a historical plaque for the area to depict that that is where the robbery took place[shown].
