I am only mentioning this article because most people didn't know that Alvin was the one who taught Charles Manson,convicted and deceased cult leader,to play guitar. The article doesn't mention that this took place when Alvin was transferred to Washington state,to prepare inmates to vacate Alcatraz for its closure.
