CBS Segment on Anniversary of Bremer Kidnapping
Minnesota's local CBS station held a segment for the 80th anniversary of Edward Bremer's kidnapping by the Barker-Karpis gang.You can watch the footage in the link.
On January 17,1934,Edward George Bremer,a Minnesota banker,is kidnapped by the Barker-Karpis gang.
$200,000 is set as ransom,and it is paid,all with marked bills[shown].
Bremer was released alive on February 7,1934.
It's believed that Harry Sawyer was the one to come up with the idea of kidnapping Bremer.
